Portland Cement
Portland Çimento
- Portland cement is a hydraulic binder obtained by grinding portland cement clinker after adding a little amount of limestone as a setting regulating agent. It has a high strength gain and high strength as it contains a high amount of clinker. This product is for general use. It is a type of cement used in concrete manufacturing where high-strength concrete is required and the first strength is to be high.
Areas of Use
- In production of prefabricated building elements,
- In production of prestressed concrete,
- In structures such as highways, bridges, viaducts, etc.,
- In constructions performed with tunnel formwork system,
- In production of briquettes and tiles,
- In foundation concrete applications.

Blast Furnace Cement
Blast Furnace Cement
- Granulated blast furnace slag produced by metallurgy plants in waste material class can be used as an additive in cement production as it has hydraulic binding feature. Produced by Bolu Cimento using the granulated blast furnace slag from Eregli Iron & Steel Factory, blast furnace cement is marketed in gradually increasing amounts at home and abroad.
- Blast furnace cement, which performs high strength against chemical attacks thanks to its structure, has a low heat of hydration and is known to be more resistant than CEM I type portland cement in the long term, can be used in dams, harbours, treatment plants, irrigation canals, bridges and many other projects and is preferred more and more thanks to its economic quality. Moreover, this product which requires less use of clinker is a type of cement which has minimum impact on the environment in today's conditions.
- As one of the leading cement companies of Turkey, Bolu Cimento successfully produced the high additive type CEM III/B cement, which is currently marketed to many areas throughout the world for special projects.
- Mechanical, electrical and automation assemblies of Eregli Facility with a grinding capacity of 1.000.000 ton/ year were completed and commissioned in 2010.

Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag
Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag
- Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) is one of the waste material groups obtained from various metallurgy plants. In production of raw iron, granulated blast furnace slag remains above raw iron due to having less weight and iron ore gangue is composed at a temperature between 1,400 to 1,600 °C after burning of coke and limestone.
- Granulated Blast Furnace Slag, which is hard to ground granulate, is processed in Eregli Facility of Bolu Cimento and can be used as concrete and cement additive.
- Ground granulated in desired sizes at Adana Cement and Bolu Cement facilities depending on the user needs, ground granulated blast furnace slag is marketed within the country and overseas as raw and ground granulated material under consultancy of OYTAS.
